Parks and Recreation in Blue Ash
The Blue Ash Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the area’s many recreational amenities, including parks, a golf course, and multiple sports facilities.
Summit Park sits right in the middle of Blue Ash, allowing residents to take advantage of all the activities offered on the grounds of the 130-acre world-class park.
The park boasts everything from biking and hiking trails to a sledding hill, an imaginative children’s playground, a dog park, and a 150-ft Observation Tower.
There is plenty of wide-open green space, as well as a manmade creek, and forested and prairie areas. In the winter, a skating rink takes center stage. Summit Park is also home to three small restaurants and an ice cream store.
Multiple events are held at Summit Park throughout the year and are open to the public. They include outdoor movie nights, live productions by The Children’s Theater, and stargazing at the Cincinnati Observatory.

The Blue Ash Sports Center is the ideal site for organized sports, as well as pickup games. The 37-acre facility includes two soccer fields and 11 baseball fields.
Blue Ash hosts several concerts and special events throughout the year, including a Summer Concert Series, Red, White, and Blue Ash (an extravagant Fourth of July celebration that is known for having one of the area’s biggest and best fireworks shows), Halloween Walk in the Woods, and Festival in the Woods, which showcases the fabulous artwork of local students.
